UFO in UK resembles Texas, Ohio sightings

By Steve Hammons

Similar descriptions of a glowing, orange object in the sky have been reported this year in Texas, Ohio and now in England.

A county law enforcement constable in Stephenville, Texas, who watched a UFO recorded on another officer’s “dashcam” police videotape camera in January 2008 said, “And then this thing, right in front of my eyes, changes and it looks almost like a jellyfish. I compare it maybe even to a parachute – and now a very bright white."

In November 2008, an Ohio woman says she saw a "very large, orange-yellow-white-colored orb” just over the tree line near her house. She said it reminded her of an amoeba under a microscope that changed shape and moved.

Near the Ohio River in eastern Ohio in October, witnesses say they saw an orange glowing object at a low altitude. One man said it had “a biological shape.” “It didn't look like anything mechanical by any means.” He said his impression was “that it was organic. That's the feeling that I got. I didn't think it could be anything else. It just came across as something organic."

And now, witnesses near Conisholme, England, have used the term “octopus” and “tentacles” to describe something they saw in the sky Jan. 4, 2009, that may have had something to do with damage to a wind turbine.

CONISHOLME, ENGLAND

Witness John Harrison is reported as saying he saw a "massive ball of light with tentacles going right down to the ground" above the wind turbine farm. "It was huge. With the tentacles it looked just like an octopus," according to the UK newspaper “The Sun.”

The newspaper “The Telegraph” reported, “One woman said she saw an object fly towards the wind farm, while others described the lights as being linked by ‘tentacles,’ leading locals to dub it the octopus UFO.”

Other reliable citizens in the region have reported multiple sightings of unusual lights.

Media accounts in the UK are also noting that secret unmanned stealth bombers are possibly being tested in the area and this could account for some UFO sightings.

However, the damage caused to the wind turbine near Conisholme seems to correspond with sightings of the glowing object that resembled an octopus or something with tentacles-like shape.

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS

Erath County Constable Gaitan told Emmy Award-winning TV producer, investigative reporter and author Linda Moulton Howe that another local peace officer had captured one of the UFOs on a patrol car video camera.

As reported on Howe’s Web site, Earthfiles.com, Gaitan told her, "As a matter of fact, it was that Saturday (Jan. 12, 2008). I had the privilege to see this video. I saw what the officer saw on video and this aerial object changed forms three different times."

Howe reported that Gaitan told her, "The first time, I believe he said it was about 2 a.m. when he first saw it. It's a white glow moving very slowly in the sky."

He said, "Then it changes from white to green to blue and red lights. It looks almost like a strobe. I watch this thing in the police video and it appears to be some type of aerial object that is round. It changes from white to these different colors," Gaitan said.

Gaitan continued, "The police officer says, 'Keep watching,' and I watched for approximately another eight minutes. And then this thing, right in front of my eyes, changes and it looks almost like a jellyfish. I compare it maybe even to a parachute – and now a very bright white."

He said to Howe, "The green and blue and red is no longer flashing. It holds that shape for probably two minutes. And then to my surprise, it changes vertically like a line straight up and down. It appears to be solid. And it's just white, no longer flashing. Just a bright, white line of light. It stays in that shape for probably a couple more minutes and then it changes back to its original white – and then goes back to the green, red and blue flashing."

Gaitan added, "This thing is moving slowly. The officer is having to come into his vehicle and adjust his in-dash camera because the aerial object is moving. The police officer tells me he and another officer see another object just like it about a mile behind the one he's been watching. No videotape on the second one, but you can hear them (on in-dash video) talking about it."

The constable also stated, "While they are videotaping the first object, they are having to zoom in. This camera, I believe, zooms in 600 times, but you are still not able to see any type of craft. I believe I watched the videotape for about 16 minutes, and then it's out of sight. I later find out I have a call from another law enforcement agency. He called me on a Saturday morning – I believe it was January 19, 2008."

MIDVALE, OHIO

Another witness contacted Howe with a sighting that had similarities. A resident of Midvale, in eastern Ohio’s Tuscarawas County, who Howe called “Joy,” described a "very large, orange-yellow-white-colored orb."

This incident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 2, 2008.

Joy told Howe that she glanced out her window and saw a glowing orange object. "The orb didn’t seem to keep one shape. I saw it at the edge of the tree line behind my house."

She said the brightly-lit object reminded her of an amoeba under a microscope. Joy told Howe that it changed its shape rapidly.

She said, “Even though it was changing shape, it appeared there was a front and a back to it because whenever it stopped and backed up, it started to tilt as if it were turning like toward one direction or the other. Then it went back horizontally and instead of turning around, it just backed up like reverse and then went forward.”

Joy also said, “It was a little lighter than pumpkin orange with yellow and white softly mixed in. Those colors weren't coming from the center of it, but it looked like they were bouncing around inside of it. It did not seem to be a manmade object or anything mechanical or a spotlight or a flashlight beam or anything. It was different than anything I’d ever seen.”

She also stated she saw three lights in a triangular pattern above the orb. This account of another nearby object of a different kind matches reports from other witnesses near Empire, Ohio.

EMPIRE, OHIO

In far eastern Ohio, at the nexus of the borders with West Virginia and Pennsylvania on the Ohio River, truck driver Tim Comstock was on Route 7 north of the town of Empire, Ohio, at 3:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008.

Comstock was also interviewed by Howe and her detailed report on his sighting is on Earthfiles.com.

As he drove through the early morning hours, Comstock stopped his truck when he saw other drivers pulled over to the side of the road. They were looking at something. He soon discovered what it was.

He said, "It was a white light with a little bit of orange inside of it. It had a little bit of red and the shape just seemed so strange to me because it seemed like a biological shape.”

Comstock told Howe, "It didn't look like anything mechanical by any means. To me, it looked like a cocoon. When I saw it, I was trying to take everything in and that's immediately what I thought when I saw it – that it was organic. That's the feeling that I got. I didn't think it could be anything else. It just came across as something organic."

But then he saw something else. “As the large white-orange object was rising up, it looked like it was going into the center of the triangle of blue lights. At first glance when I saw the triangle of lights and rising, glowing object, I could not process what was going on.”

Comstock said, “As the white-orange object got closer to the triangle of lights, I could see from reflected light that the underside of the inside of the triangle pattern of blue lights was one object – one very, very large object. When I saw it with my naked eye, I saw the bottom of the craft and it looked like it was very flat.”

The military veteran who worked in the helicopter aviation field while in the service said the craft above was “about the size of a large shopping mall and parking lot."

His photos, taken with a cell phone camera, captured both the glowing object and the three lights of the larger object above. The photos are posted on Earthfiles.com.
